And will this be the European version?

We deliver world wide. We will only have the North American model which will work in Europe

can the basic map of North America be deleted and be replaced for the European map?

It does not look like it can be deleted. The map in the unit is negligible because it is only city locations with no road data.

Contains the map all the city's and villages or only the capital-city's?
If the map has any adintional adding, it will not intresting to order the Garmin Fenix by GPS-City

How would this watch work should I fly internationally?
Would the GPS still be functional?
Is it possible to upload waypoints for different countries?

The watch will work everywhere in the world. If you dont have it on while traveling a long distance you may need to give it ten minutes to figure out its new location. When you turn it on in location close to where you turned it off it will be much quicker. You will be able to upload waypoints for other countries. The unit has 2MB of internal storage for that. 2MB is a lot of room for waypoints.

There differences specified by Garmin. We do not have access to the Europe version to do a side by side comparison
