Setting clock and I don't do laps I work out in the pool so what setting do I need to set it on

I have a garmin swim watch (010-01004-00). I need to know how to set the clock and what setting I would need to use when I work out in the pool and I'm not sure about the size of the pool so what should I put. It is a small pool with the deepest part being only 5 ft. If you could help me I'd appreciate it. Thanks Cindy

You can walk out the pool to get the general length of it. The unit is made to work in pools.
