Hi Folks, I'm presently building up a Surly Long Haul Trucker touring bicycle. I'm looking into installing a hub dynamo generator connected to an "E Work" processor allowing various electronics to be operated or charged while riding. The E Works processor can be adjusted to meet the different charging requirements. I think the Edge 705 would be the perfect GPS for my trip. Do you see any problems with the unit being continuously hooked up to the charging unit? What are the charging requirements for this unit and what version is currently being used (2.6 or 2.9) ?
Thank you, Terry

Hello Terry,

The unit charges through the USB port on it. Please note that most third party chargers will cause it to be useless while being charged. It will act like is connected to a computer.

Cheers
