› Garmin Forerunner 610 with Heart Rate Monitor

On my FR305 I was able to use quick workout to enter distance and time of my run and the watch would calculate the required pace. Is there a similar function on the FR610 to calculate my pace? I dont want to have to carry a calculator with me when I go for a run.

Sorry for the long wait. I had to try both the Forerunner 305 and Forerunner 610 to see if you can do the same on each watch. The Forerunner 610 is very powerful but seems to lack the Quick Workout - Dist/Time. You cn do something similar but instead of putting in the time you want to finish the distance in you put your desired pace. I noticed the Forerunner 305 does the opposite. It takes time and distance and tells you the pace you need to keep.

I dont want to be mean, but that answer was terrible. I know you have to put in the pace on the 610 that was the whole point of my question. I want to know if there is a way for the watch to calculate the pace for me. For example, if I dont know what my pace needs to be to run a certain distance in a desired time.

It lacks that quick workout dist/time feature, so no you can not do that at this time. It only has dist/pace and time/pace for example as you already know. Please let Garmin know you desire this feature and if enough people do I am sure they will add it.

No offense taken. I am not a runner so I am not 100% up on the terminology and how a runner uses the watch to its fullest. I use a forerunner 305 but mainly for recording tracks when mountain biking. You may want to phone Garmin at 1-800-800-1020, they have more in depth info on the products that we dont have access to.
