What is the diameter of the RAM ball on snap-link? (not the Garmin G-ball). I'd like to see if I could use this arm with the 9/16" 'A' size RAM rubber ball and socket systems. Or, even better, does RAM make a 'B' size to G-Ball short arm?

The Snap-Link ball size is 19mm(3/4"). It is a bit bigger than the RAM-A balls. RAM does have an adapter for going from a RAM-B to a G-ball. It takes two parts the RAM-B-238 and the RAM-HOL-GA22. It may work for you. Please see the links below.

Just heard back from RAM-Mount and they have another solution:

The only way to connect a Garmin GPS directly to our 1” ball base, RAM-B-238U, is to add the RAP-SB-238FU and RAP-SBA-RGU to the mount.

I think our solution would be a little better for it takes less parts, would be abit more secure. Thank you for passing on the RAM solution also. If you already have a RAM-B-238 you will only need the RAM-HOL-GA22

Which solution do you like? So we know for other customers

Out of those 2 options, my preference will be to GPS City solution (RAM-B-238 and RAM-HOL-GA22)
