Hello Paul, Which Honda are you riding? I would recommend using the Ram mounting hardware for ease of installation, removal and adjustment of the gps. There are several methods to mount the cradle to your motorcycle using Ram mounting hardware to the handlebars or the brake/clutch reservoir base and can be found under the mounting accessories for the unit. http://www.gpscity.ca/garmin-nuvi-205w-canada-accessories/gps-mounts.html If you want to make up your own mount here are the details. The cradle bolts up to part number RAM-B-238U. The measurement is 1.912 inches or 48.565 mm center to center between the holes. Specifications for this part can be found at http://www.gpscity.ca/pdfs/ram/ramb238.pdf. Another option that is newly introduced by Ram is part number RAM-B-168U which uses part number RAM-B-367U to replace one of the bolts in the handle bar risers. http://www.gpscity.ca/ram-mount-motorcycle-clamp-assembly-ram-b-186u.html I like the new RAM-B-168U but it comes with the 1.75" short mounting arm and would change the mounting arm to the RAM-B-201U which is 3.0". Ride safe.
