So same idea as the orignal cradle but won't need the 2 little rubber bumpers anymore?

We have not seen the cradle yet but I am pretty sure you are correct there will be no need for the rubber standoffs because this will only fit the latest iPad with Lightning connector.

Does the ipad plug into this "uniconn" connector made into the bottom tray and then you plug accessory cables into that?
