When the entire assembly is mounted in the car can the laptop tray be "folded" out of the way so that my passenger (though I rarely have one) can be seated comfortably with out taking the tray off of the swing arm?

Stephen,

The mount is made to swing from the driver to the passenger. It may be in the way when folded up. We have a special item to make it more comfortable for the passanger when you dont need the mount. Here is a link to the quick release.

But can you fold it up with dismounting unit for temporary stowage. Not giving you the whole cargo space but enough for some one to sit if they don't want the laptop in front of them.

Thank you.

I am not familiar with your vehicle so I can not say it will safely fold up out of the way when you have a passanger. Best for safety to put the mount in the back of the truck by using a quick release.

I am driving a 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport if that helps any.

Also are there any videos, and if not could you post one, of the assembly mounted in a vehicle with what ways you can move it and how. I believe this may be helpful.

Thank you again!

Hello Stephen,

I highly recommend getting the quick release. As is the passenger shouldn't have a problem but for safety it is best to remove it completely. With the quick release this takes seconds.

Jordan,

I do understand your poing of the quick release. And I will make sure to look into it when i move forward with my purchase.

My question now is do you have any videos of the assembly mounted in a vehicle that shows how the assembly moves, turns, tilts, comes apart. I think this would be a lot of help in making a proper decision. Some direction along this would be great.

Thank you again, i hope to be making my purchase soon.
