Hi,

I have a Oregon 550. It had the Canadian TOPO preloaded. I also have a 2010 City Nav North America NT data card installed.

I also have a nuvi 255, and I had a one time free map update.

If I buy a lifetime update, will it update the maps for both units? Surely I do not have to but a lifetime update for each?

Also, does the Canadian TOPO not have an update? I never see anything on "My Garmin" to update the maps on my 550.

Can you please help, and tell me the best way to update ALL my maps.

Hello,

The Garmin nuMaps life map subscription is only good for one unit so you will need to buy a copy for each use. The nuMaps update will not work if you purchased a card with the maps preloaded by Garmin. Just DVD versions and Preloaded units can be updated using Garmin nuMaps.

Topo maps are not updated because the back country data does not change often enough.
