Getting NA Maps on UK 7200 Unit?

If I buy a UK unit can I program it with Garmin US/Canada lifetime maps? (and dump the UK Maps)

Hello Lance,

In order to get North America on your unit you will have to buy the full version North America mapping. Using the update will not work with a unit purchased in the UK. It is cheaper and better to buy a unit in North America and ad the UK map.

is there a way to the full US/Canada version(does NOT include Mexico,which is in North America)with lifetimes updates all-in-one?

will it also enable XM and US/Canada RF modulation frequencies? (UK spaces AM/FM differently or it might be disabled as RF modulators were banned until recently)

Hello Lance,

The software and map update is purchased separately. Adding new maps will not enable features in the unit. The features in the unit are enabled by firmware and there may be a hardware difference. In order to get all the North American features you need to purchase on in North America.
