I have a Garmin Nuvi 270 preloaded with City Navigator North AmericamNT and Europe NT. Will the nuMaps Lifetime update card for Naorth America only work on this model?

Hello Ray,

The North America lifetime update card will work with your nuvi 270 but it will only update the North American database you would have to purchase a separate subscription for the European portion of your maps.

I bought a lifetime update from Garmin a few years ago but now my nuvi 270 tells me that I don't have enough memory to install the latest maps and that I must choose only certain regions. I have an 8Gb Sd card and have installed the Europe and North America maps on it but my Nuvi can't see them. Garmin support have not been able to help, despite their best efforts. Can anyone here suggest anything? Joe

Hi Joe,
Unfortunately the Garmin nuvi 270 has limited memory, and doesn't have the ability to load the updates to the SD card.

If you do wish to have the full map, you could choose to purchase the full version software on SD card. However this would defeat the purpose of buying the lifetime map update.

We apologize that we could not provide an answer that would allow you to use the 8GB card you are currently using.
