Will the NA Lifetime update work with my Street Pilot 7200 AND my computer?
I use a GPS 18 USB with my computer. I also do routing and look for way points with the computer, then upload them to the 7200. Will all that work?

Hello John,

If you load maps from your PC to the unit then it will update the maps on your PC mapping, But if it is a mobile PC software you will only be able to do one or the other.

Hope this helps!

Hello John,

The nuMaps update will work for the internal maps of the Garmin streetpilot 7200 only. If you have NT maps on your computer you will need a separate update for them.

You can create routes and points on your computer and transfer them to your unit. You will need Garmin Mapsource mapping on the PC or another program compatible with Garmin devices. You can also import GPX files from other programs into Garmin MapSource then transfer them to the unit. You can make waypoints for the unit in Google Earth for example.

Cheers
Jordan

I just bought a 1450 LMT NUvi. Apparently, the internal memory is 2 Gb, which is barely enough for the North America Mapas. When I update the maps, obviously I aqm using more internal memory. My question is: Will it get to a point where I no longer have enough internal memory, or the GPS deletes the unusable information just so that we always have enough internal memory? Thaqnks

Yes the internal memory is insufficient to cover all of NA. When running the map update, you will only be able to update specific regions and not all of NA.

However, the maps can be transferred to a micro sd card using Garmin's Mapinstall program.
