How does the image quality of birdseye compare with google earth?

It will vary on the area you are in. Some areas are covered well and others are not. Unfortunately a detailed coverage list is not available at this time. The maps are provided by Digital Globe.

You can add Google maps to your Garmin Oregon by doing screen captures and calibrating them using the Garmin custom map procedure found on Garmins site.
