Steering Problem with the Garmin GHP 10 Shadow Drive?

Can the shadow drive unit affect manuel steering in any way with GHP 10 turned off? Manuel steering is very "jerky" when turning to from hard starboard to port. Shadow drive is installed in starboard line. Acts like fluid comming from helm pump is not flowing freely through shadow drive. Any thoughts would be a big help...Neal

It is best you phone Garmin. 1-800-800-1020. I have not heard of that problem. They will be able to verify your issue better than we can

I have the same problem. I have talked to Garmin and they do not have a answer as of yet. I had a older Raymarine auto pilot and steering was fine both ways. I installed the shadow drive and have had problems. I removed the shadow drive and no problem.
