I have puchased the 421S unit and I am extremely satisfied with it. It is now time to store the boat for the winter. My question is this.. is it necessary to disconnect the unit from the boat for the winter? My boat is stored out of the weather, however it is is not heated storage. Look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks

Paul

It would be best to take the GPSMap 421s off the boat and store is somewhere that doesnt get too cold. Above or around zero should be fine. The units operational temp range is -15C to +55C. I would try to keep it within those temperatures even in storage.
