You can enter coordinates by placing a waypoint in your current location then editing the coordinates.

thanks jesse butthat doesnt really help me. i have been given gps coordinates to create fishing marks but dont know how to input them. Total novice

That is how you would enter them manually. Did you give it a try? Do you have a file with these points on that you want to import into the unit or do you have them written down on paper or similar?

Could try entering them into G7toWin (free prog) then saving the file in whatever format you need onto the SD card and importing it into the machine from that.
