1. Is there any reason for my speed indicator to be flashing 0's? The GPS function is OK as it shows my location on the chart display and indicates all is OK under GPS Status.

2. Would anybody in your shop know if there would be any crosstalk issues with a "Bottom Line Tournament Master HR Sidefinder" I don't have the manual for the unit but would like to get my hands on one.

You may have the water speed selected. You can change the speed to GPS speed by tapping menu once then selecting 'Overlay Data' then 'configure'. Make sure that the speed displayed is based on GPS (SOG = speed over ground) instead of water speed (STW = speed through the water).
