Accept BC Backroads Map SD-Card Maps

I am looking for a GPS wit side-scan ability for a freshwater SAR jetboat. I realize that most of these type of units are meant for salt-water navigation. MY question, will this unit accept and display the maps if I was to insert a SD card from the BC Backroads supplier.
These maps have more detailed inland lake and particularly river navigation information than I seem to be able to find from other map sources (ie Navtronics etc.)
Any advice appreciated

Only Garmin GPS units can read the backroad gps maps. The Garmin GPSMap 421S or 521S would be an option. Humminbird doesn't have any topo maps compatible with that unit.
