Hi, What is the angle of the LSS sonar beam? I have a 16 foot boat with an outboard motor. How far away from the motor does the LSS need to be mounted?

Here is a link to a short installation manual. It would be best to refer to it for install instructions. They do not mention how far from the outboard you should keep the sensor. It should be fine in most locations as long as you do not get air pockets under the module. If you have a large dead rise on the bottom of your boat you can use two transducers and a Y cable.

They do not specify the angle but the give you some max numbers like
Max Range: 600ft/183m side-to-side
Max Depth: 300ft
The angle should be around 75 degrees.
