Can the gpsmap421s connect/receive and display AIS transponder data(NMEA0183) via its NMEA0183 port 1 and/or port 2 .
If so , will it then also transmit these data again either via its port 1 or port 2, and via the NMEA2000 bus ?

Yes the GPSMap 421S will do AIS via NMEA 0183 or nmea 2000. The NMEA buss can be shared with multiple devices on the network so other head units can read the info.
