I used to own a GPSMap 60CSx. I am considering a 276c at some point.
Can I plan a route on the pc and upload it to the 276c as I did with the 60CSx? The manual is a little vague on this point.

Thanks!

Unfortunately you can no Longer get the 276C. If you find a used one then yes you can plan trips and send them to the GPS. It will work the same as the 60csx in that manner.
Just so you know the replacement for the GPSMap 276C, is the GPSMap 620 and GPSMap 640. You can preplan trips with those units also.

Hi Jordan.
Thanks for the reply. I was considering a Zumo 660 for the bike, but I am having some reservations about that unit (price, reliability, other issues mentioned on the Zumo forum).
I thought I may be able to get a 276 at a clearout price if they were discontinued, but if they are no longer available I will have to switch to plan B.
Thanks again.

Tom

Garmin 276C When I stop moving (boat or snowmchine) the cursor and the map screen rotates untill I start moving. Is this normal? If not how is it corrected.

That is normal operation. The unit doesn't know its heading when it is not moving. When it starts moving again it can calculate its Course over Ground to give you a proper heading.

Cheers
