I am interested in upgrading my Garmin GPSMAP to a newer model. Is there a way to transfer my 100 waypoints to the new unit?

Hello Mark,

It wont be easy or cheap but you should be able to get the points off your unit. First you need to buy a serial port adapter for the unit (and serial to USB converter if needed). Then you need to transfer the points from the unit to the PC. Then from the PC to a memory card for inserting into the GPSMap 421s. You will be able to do this with Garmin Mapsource PC software.

This process may not be straight forward to you so if you need further assistance please call 1-800-800-1020 for Garmin tech support.
