Does this gps always have a split screen and show depth and temperature?

First of all does this gps always have a split screen, or can you have it on the full screen of the lake your on? Secondly the transducer is for the fish finder and depth and temp of the water, if I dont install it can i still use it as a gps only and view the lake with all the markings and buoys?

Hello Paul,

The unit will do single screen chart-plotter or Fishfinder. It is best to install the transducer for it is part of the main cable and you don't want it bouncing around in the boat while pinging. The maps work with out the sounder hooked up
