Hi Guys

Just received my Hotmaps Premium card. As part of the offer is the provision for a year of chart updates and a downloadable version of their PC App.

The problem lies in the dire warnings inside the box of the total destruction of the card if it is inserted into a card reader or otherwise connected to my PC. Included in the documentation are instructions to do precisely that in order to get year long chart updates to the card and to receive the PC App.

HELP!!!! Do I insert my card into a card reader attached to my PC (risking its destruction)to get the updates and let Navionics folks know I qualify for their PC Apps download or not??

email ... rickydd1@aim.com

As long as you follow the instructions exactly you should not have any problems with map updates. You should contact the good people at Navionics for assistance with the update. The disclaimer is probably there so you don't try to load other data to the card potentially overwriting the preloaded maps.
