When installing/using the chip ... the Land roads and details disappear!
Is this normal due to enhance the Water Navigation detail ?

Which GPS do you have and which other maps are installed on it?

Go into the map info and turn off the BlueChart map.
When using multiple maps on a GPS, it is best to turn off the maps that are not being used as some maps will interfere with others.

The Garmin 0039 MicroChip is the only Map/Chip installed in a 76CX.

The ocean charts in Coastal areas will replace that data with its map. If you pan to the middle of the USA those roads may still show because there is no overlay with the Basemap

The BlueChart g2 US HXUS039R does not have any roads or land details as it is a Marine chart.
The 76CX does not have any internal memory to store map data.
If the GPS showed land roads and details before, it may be possible that a preloaded microSD map was in it before the BlueChart microSD card was installed.

Shouldn't there be at lease some COASTAL roads, to be used for reference waypoints ?

There are some very major roads visible on the map, but no other road details are loaded.
