Will this show detail of Lake St Clair and Simcoe?, RICK, BLENHEIM ONT
I email your people on Tuesday Jan 11 and am still waiting to get my answer.I am sure you are likely real busy so I thought I would ask again first of all will this card work in my hand held Montana gps.If so like I said earlier I am an avid ice fisherman and wanted to know if both Lake St Clair and Simcoe would show depths, bottom contures ,humps and marinas around these two lakes on this card.I enquired with your pepole about another card last week an realized it was not the card I should purchase. If you feel that this would not meet my requirement could you poossibly reccomend one for me. I just do not want to spend big money for something that I would be disapointed with. Thanks and have a good day.

The best card for your use is the HXCA015R. /garmin-microsd-card-bluechart-g2-hxca015r.html Vision would be overkill and has the same info as the regular bluechart card but with some 3D capabilities for use in some units.

A friend of mine said he did not think that the ca015r would not show the detail of the bottom like this card would show so I have to ask. What does 3D mean when comparing this card verses the hxca015r does it have anything to do with better detail of the lake bottoms. I don't want a card if it only shows the depth when I can purchase one that will show more detail than just depths.I want the card that will show humps drop offs and maybe stone bottoms of the lake bottoms if these extras are even available. The main reason I want this card is manely for the detail of the bottom. THANKS AGAIN

The detail between a vision card and regular blue charts is just 3D view on select Garmin units. The data is the same. Lake Simcoe and Lake St Clair are covered under both cards. When you use the card you will find that it has all the data you need even bumps and cliffs. It may just take some playing around to be able to identify those features quickly. Be sure to put the map in fishing mode so you can see more contours.
