Good day Jordan,

I received my BlueChart map today and installed it in the GPSMAP 3206. It is working fine and the details are very nice. Tha date on the module is AUG 2012 so the maps must be the newest ones I suppose.
My question is: For my free update that suppose to be free for one time. Is there any adaptor for that module to USB ? Or how I will update the map ? Do you have any accessories for that ?

Hi Yves,

There are no free updates on Marine charts that I know of. The one free map update is for street mapping only. With updates to marine you normally would send the card in for a replacement.

I check again the back of the BlueChart g2 card and it said: New Chart Guarantee ensures with this purchase you are entitled to the newest charts available.
And in the cardboard envelope they specified one Free update to the newest version of charts.
Anyway is there any adapter to use USB on those Garmin card ?

The free map update according to Garmins site is only for charts purchased on SD/microSD. Technically the chart card you bought is discontinued. Here is a link to Garmins site.

Here is a link to a card reader however it is no longer available. The card reader would be for transferring data.
