I have a garmin 450 that I purchased for a back up for sailing. I would like to get some marine charts for it, but was reading about g2 and regional issues. It says you can only select one region per card or something? I don't understand, but I sail all over the world so I don't mind one region at a time, but can you select regions on the fly, or do you have to plug in to the web to be able to switch? Does it switch when you put a different card in the gps? I would like to get the Canadian charts and a Caribbean chart as well for an upcoming trip...pls let me know, tx!

Hello Ali,

The information you have read is old and incorrect. All of Canada comes on one card and can be read on the PC using Homeport or on the GPS device. All maps will view without switching between areas. When you go to the caribbean you will need to change cards of course. Here is a link for Canada

We have all the charts available for the world including the caribbean.
