How does Inland Lakes Differ from Topo 24K Maps

How does the Garmin Inland Lakes map differ from the topo 24K maps? Most smaller bodies of water will not have bathymetric maps so if I just fish these waters won't 24K Topos be adequate. I like to fish and hunt and if I can only afford one map would 24K be the one to get?

Hello Pirate,

The topo maps contain no lake detail such as nav aids and depth contour lines. For maps that don't have lake coverage you can use the topo maps. Be sure that your chartplotter supports Topo mapping, not all do.
