Mounting Lowrance LCX27C, Patrick, Killen Alabama
I Purchased a Ram 111U, From GPS City, Great Service and Excellant shipping, But it doesnt seem to be Heavy enough for Bow mount application,Its on the Bow of 20ft Bass Boat... I would Like To Beef it up, or Get a Heavier Mount for this Sonar/GPS unit.... Please Advise or I will Call Yall This week. Gps city is The best, We should Put Your Logo,on My Boat and Truck.. Fish Tournaments all over the South. alabama, Tennessee, Florida, Kentucky. I Could Be Your Rep here in alabama, Southern region. Thanks Again, Awaiting Your Recommendations Patrick.

Patrick, Thank you for your comments. They are greatly appreciated! There are other alternatives that you can use instead of the RAM-111U. This consists of three parts: RAM-111BU RAM-201U RAM-202U The RAM-111BU is the 6" plate that mounts to the gimbal bracket on the Lowrance unit. Now, you can either replace just the RAM-111BU part or buy a whole new and bigger mount. I will show you both alternatives. Here is the RAM-111BU replacement, which is part number RAM-137BU. http://www.gpscity.com/ram-mount-rectangular-3x11-inch-plate-with-1.5-inch-ball.html That plate is bigger (11" compared to 6") and is what I recommend to customers to mount bigger devices. If you want to go with a whole new mount that is bigger, you can increase the ball size (you currently have 1.5" ball size) to a 2.25" D sized ball. Please see my recommendation here: http://www.gpscity.com/ram-mount-large-plate-screw-down-mount-2.25-inch-ball.html This part has the same sized plate as the RAM-137BU but it is a much bigger ball and can support greater weight (about 10lbs) without any trouble.
