Will this work with laptops? , Rory, NorCal there is very little mention in using this device with a laptop, is this not the best device for that, does the app from iTunes work on a PC?

The devices uses Bluetooth Serial Port Protocol so when paired with a PC it acts as a serial port GPS. You need moving map software on your PC in order to get use out of the data. The unit does not run via iTunes. iTunes is just used to load compatible software on your iOS device. iOS apps do not run on Windows.

Which moving map software do you recommend if using the XGPS150 with a Windows laptop? I have Topo USA 7.0, which does not seem to recognize it. Dual seems to have no software for the PC.

I have no recommendation at this time. All the good ones are no longer in production because moving map on a PC is no longer popular.

Use Google earth or Google Maps
