How is the GPS powered? Are there internal batteries? If so, what is the battery life?

Hello,

This is a USB sensor so it gets power from the USB port. It then will provide NMEA information to the USB port of the computer being used.

You may want to check out the OEM modules if you are looking for something that operates independently to a computer.
