I have my zumo 665 attached to my motorcycle to come on as soon as it is put in the cradle. My question is: why if I turn off the unit using the on off button that it will turn on by it's self after about 20 minutes. I will turn it off while I am riding and it will turn back on by it's self again and again.
Your co-operation regarding this matter is greatly appreciated.
sincerely John Stack

The unit turns on with power. So it must sense a change in the voltage. The zumo may think it was just plugged in or the ignition was started. You could also have a loose cable.

Hi. When you write "turns on with power", what do you mean. Can I turn off unit while riding and what is best direct hookup? Headlight, battery, taillight?

When the GPS "turns on with power", this happens when power is supplied by an external power source.
The GPS can be turned off by depressing the power button.
Most motorcycles will have an auxiliary power source within the headlight bucket.
Please refer to your specific motorcycle's manual or your motorcycle dealer for details.
