After looking at the specs, I really don't see much difference other than price between the 550 and 660. Yes, the 660 is widescreen (is that really a big deal?) and has a longer battery life, but the 550 looks more robust, and capable of handling the vibrations of being on a motorcycle. Both are bluetooth capable, and have built in MP3 players.

Which one would be the better bet, and is there anything else on the market comparable?
Bluetooth capable and water/weatherproof are essential for me. The rest are decent options to make life easier, seeing as I can wire connect my current MP3 player to my headset.

The Zumo 660 by far is a superior unit. It is just as rugged and has a lot more features including stereo Bluetooth instead of just Mono. The only thing that the Zumo 550 can do is XM radio. Problem is the XM satellite receiver that works with the zumo 550 is discontinued.
