Static Noise when connected to AUX input?

I am recently experiencing 'static buzz' on my Zumo 550 when it is connected via the cable from the handlebar mount to the AUX plug on the Harley radio. I replaced the mounting cradle and input cable for the GPS -it still buzzes. I plugged an ipod into the bike aux plug, and it works fine - no buzzing. It only gives the static buzz it when the unit is plugged into the AUX connection on my bike, I have not been able to try the GPS unit on any other bike so I am not 100% sure it is the unit or the bike's audio system that is the culprit as to repair either one is an expensive issue. Have you had any issues with other 550's causing this sound?

We have not heard of any similar issues. I would try a web update to the unit. Also try adjusting the volume in the zumo. If that does not help give Garmin a quick call to see if they have noticed the same issue. 1-800-800-1020
