How to create a route?

To plan my route do I have to enter info on computer then download to GPS or can you just enter destination right into GPS and it gives you the route.

You have the option to preplan the route on the computer first if you choose. Alternately the GPS will compile a route for you if you provide the destination.

You enter the destination into the GPS unit and it will give you a route.

If I pre plan a route on the computer will the 220 try and auto reroute? I want to be able to map out a route and stick to it. Also, if I branch off from the pre planned route will it auto reroute back to the original pre planned route?

A preplanned route will not be redirected by the zumo. The unit will automatically recalculate if you vary from the preplanned route.
