I have an Aera 560 with xm and weather. Are the pin outs on the Zumo 665 cradles the same pin outs as the Aera 500 series ?

I want to get a zumo 665 , but use my already active GXM40 from my Aera. I would use the zumo dock on the bike tied into my autocom communication system ,but remove and carry the GXM40 between the car, bike and aircraft.

But I need to know if the docks use the same pinouts between the zumo 665 and the aera 560. I do not want to drop another 700 bucks and plug it in to my other dock and let the magical smoke out.

When it comes to the XM both units are compatible with the GXM40. The pinouts are the same for that port.

I do not have the Aera cradle instock to verify the rest of the wires. Based on your question the big concern is GXM40 and it is compatible with both.

I know the Aera does not have "audio in" as the zumo does. I could care less about making cell calls while riding the bike. I already have a bare wires Aera dock hard wired into my vehicle, just trying to possibly not have to gut that and re-install another dock.
