When I use Trip Planner my 350LM can only find Base Camp customer poutes (GLX files) that are saved to the Garmin's internal memory. But when I transfer the Base Camp custom rountes to my SD Card the GPS can't locate them. I know in my previous Garmin Nuvi 500 there was a process to load maps via the My Data app. I don't see the same app in the Garmin Zumo 350LM.

I should specify that the same SD Card worked with my previous Garmin Nuvi 500.

That feature is not available in the zumo 350 that I can find. I did multiple tests and could not get it to work. I apologize because in the unit and manual it mentions being able to send data to the microSD card. That feature may come in a future update. I will let Garmin know that the feature does not work. I suggest that you contact them also. the more people that bring up the issue the quicker I think it will be solved.

I received the following reply from Garmin regarding transfering customer routes to an SD card.

Dear Christian,
Thank you for contacting Garmin International, I am happy to assist you with this. Unfortunately, the Zumo 350 is not like the Nuvi 550 you will not be able to Import or Export routes. I don't know if there will be any type of software update to allow this as an option later on. If you have any questions let us know.

With Best Regards,

I wonder what is the purpose of having SD card slot. I hope software update will allow us to do that.

The purpose of the SD card slot is for additional mapping information if you travel to other countries.
