I'm still having a hard time with the pricing of this unit. Some people have bought regular GPS units... and simply put a Zip-lock Bag over it, when it rains, while riding their Motorcycle. Is 500 Dollars extra really worth it, for what you get? OK, I can understand the "LM" part of it... but is the other stuff you get really worth that much more?

Garmin packs everything you need into one box. This is why the price is higher than most other units. It comes with bluetooth for a headset, map upgrades, all the mounts you need for your unit, it is rugged, and this is suited towards a more specialized market which is why the cost of it is higher. It really is worth it to buy a motorcycle specific unit so you know you are getting a rugged piece of equipment than can stand the abuse of a motorcycle. I for one would not trust putting a normal Nuvi as a strictly motorcycle GPS.
