My son is off on a bike trip to Europe for the next year.... can I get him a Garmin Zumo 550 with the Europe base maps instead of the North American base maps???? if so, how long to receive??? thanks

Hi Stan,
As we are a North American retailer we sell units that include Canada and US maps, with the odd exception of those that contain these 2 countries as well as European coverage. The Zumo series that we are eligible to sell come preloaded with North American data, and can have European mapping added via an SD memory card.
For European preloaded units, you will need to contact a retailer overseas. Customarily the units in Europe are only loaded with partial European maps, so you'll have to be sure to check the specifications thoroughly.
