I read something about pre-loaded maps having only the main streets and if you want small back roads you have to buy more software ? right ?

I ride small back roads and use DeLorme map software to plot my routes.

I assume I can download my DeLorme route to Zumo 660 ?right ?

What if DeLorme map and Zumo map have different roads - will Zumo track me on roads following DeLorme route ?

Small backroads will be part of the City Navigator Software. Logging roads and backcountry road data like trails will be in Topo mapping.

You will bot be able to use Delorme mapping on Garmin devices. You can create routes in Delorme then transfer them in a compatible format to Garmin. If the Delorme maps and Garmin maps have different roads the route will probably go a way you did not expect. It is best to use the maps in the unit to preplan the trip. Garmin offers Topo maps for the USA and Canada if you need supplemental maps for your GPS and computer for planning.
