My 550 after 4 yrs is indicating that the internal battery power is expired despite the fact it is connected to my bike(R1200 BMW)battery and immediately turns off. The Connector from the battery has power to the cradle. Is it the cradel or the GPS not receiving the charge from the external battery? Are the lithium batteries in the GPS dead?
need some advice!

Hello Don,

Lithium batteries only have an expected life of around three years. Here is a link to the replacement battery that should hopefully eliminate your zumo battery issues.

thanks for the link. I understand that if the batteries are exhausted they might not take a charge from the bike battery?
I have ordered a new battery and hope that will solve the problem.
thanks for your advice
Don
