Is there a Garmin G-Ball to RAM ball adapter?

Original question asked on May 22, 2011, 11:15pm
Is there a RAM MOUNT Ball Joint (two ended) connector that will fit the Zomo 660 car mount (011-020225) end and the other end to fit the Double Socket Arm (RAM-B-201U-A)...?

If this part is available I'd like to try it on my bike and connect directly to my cigarette lighter... That way I don't need to direct wire to the battery and I don't need to use the headfone or audio jacks...

Hello,

The ball on the car mount is not secure enough for a bike. If you would like to use a cigarette lighter adapter you can solder a male end onto the zumo bike cable.

Otherwise you can try this but I recommend it for in car use only. You just need to put a RAM ball on the other side. RAMB347.

I don't see how this piece,

will attach to the Double Socket Arm (RAM-B-201U-A) that will be attached to my handle bars...

I was hoping that RAM made a double ended ball joint that would fit the car adapter on one end and the motorcycle socket arm on the other... Is there one that will do this...?

You will put the RAMB347 on the back of the Garmin AMPS plate

No there is not a RAM to Garmin ball adapter. Remember do not use the car mount on the bike for it will pop off the Garmin ball if you hit a good bump.
