Why won't the suction hold my garmin 62s on the mount? It's totally un-useable due to it falling out of the dash mount & will only stick to the windshield - which I don't like using that way.

What suction cup mount do you have?

Most fall off because the surfaces are not clean. I would make sure everything is clean. Temperature changes also cause suctions cups to fall down.

Hi . I installed the dash base plate that came with my zumo yesterday , and the suction cup mount will not stay attached longer than 20 minutes , and then I attached it to the windshield
after cleaning and the result was the same, the mount falling away
Any suggestions please and thanks
I don't want it the zumo falling off at anytime let alone while driving
thanks

Cleaning the surface of the suction cup and the windshield with an alcohol wipe will help but suction cups are never 100% secure.
The Garmin StreetPilot c5xx and Nuvi Non Skid Assembly would be the better option to go with to get away from using the suction cup.
