Will this work on a carpeted dash?

In Tucson, most of us have "carpeting" on our dashboards to protect the vinyl during our hot summers. These devices are often custom made to fit the dash. Will this Portable Friction Mount (Garmin#010-11280-02 ) work for us? Will it "stick" to the carpet? Or should we stay with the bean bag? I currently use a bean bag but am thinking of this one for my wife's car.

I would recommend using Garmin StreetPilot c5xx and Nuvi Dash Non Skid Assembly with Arm as it is a bit heavier in weight and less likely to slide around.

This mount should work fine as long as the dash is fairly level and the vehicle is not driven on rough roads.

Thanks Tom. The mount you reference is the one I already use. I simply call it the bean bag mount! :) Thanks for letting me know that the other mount is probably not a good choice for us in Arizona with carpeted dashes.
