The product description states(AMPS arm/ball socket sold separately. What are these items. Pic looks like simply screw down mount and connect unit.

AMPs is the hole pattern used to adapt to third party mounting systems like a handle bar mount or suction cup by RAM-Mounts. Here is a link to the main ball adapter. You will then need a ARM and a Base to finish the mount. Please feel free to ask more questions or give us a call

Actually, you wouldn't buy this for use on bike or ATV handles. It's all you need for mounting to a flat surface like a boat dash, gunwale, etc. though. Just pick a place, screw it down, wire it up and snap in the Montana. That's it.

You can use it on a bike or ATV if you purchase the RAM-Mount system for your vehicle as per the discussion above. They will screw together using the AMPS hole pattern
