What is the overall size of the product and how does it attach to the flat surface?

You would cut a hole in the surface to insert this flush mount into. Here is a URL to the install manual which will have the dimensions and diagrams on how to use the mount.

I have read over it several times and can not find anywhere on this link where it says what the actual dimensions are unless I am just not seeing it.

It says there is a template with dimensions that comes with the kit you can use to install.

I am very interested in buying the Flush Mount Kit but the area I would like to put it seems like there is enough space but if the actual Mounting Kit is to big it wouldn't work in the location. So I must find the actual Mounting Kit Dimensions before I can proceed.

Where else would it be possible to find the actual dimensions of the Flush Mount Kit?

The actual dimensions for this flush mount kit are:
7.0" x 5.5" x 2.5".
