What are the differences between 010-11280-02 and 010-11277-00?

I see on the Garmin website that there are two portable friction mounts (not the beanbag type). Product numbers are 010-11280-02 and 010-11277-00. What is the difference between these two other than cost?

The 010-11277-00 has a shorter neck and larger ball size than the 010-11280-02.

The difference is the packaging. You pay more for the frustration full blister pack packaging. 010-11280-00 The packaging we all hate to open because it requires a sharp knife.

The 010-11280-02 is know as frustration free(web packaging). It comes in a package much easier to open but not pretty for sitting on a retail shelf. We stock the cheaper of the two for most of our customers are the end consumer of the product. The cheaper one is the easier one to open.
