I was wondering if the band has a warranty on it?
I had the 305 for less than a year. The hole in the band is splitting the same way as the post.

I would consider that wear and tear and not covered under warranty. The one year warranty covers manufacturer defects. If you feel that the band is getting worse because of poor manufacturing please feel free to call Garmin support @ 1-800-800-1020. They will need to make the decision if it is a warranty issue or not.
