I want to remone the adhesive mount from the dash of my motorhome. Can anyone give me some instruction so I do not damage my dash. I am not sure if I should use a heat gun.
The dash is a padded vinyl application.
Thank you.

Hey Tom,
Our recommendation would be a multi-step process:
- slide some fishing line between the mount and the adhesive pad to remove the mount portion.
- use a solvent, like Goo Gone, to remove the remaining adhesive. ***Please test whichever solvent you choose, in an inconspicuous area in case of discoloring or damage to the vinyl.***
If the test shows that the product is not right for use on your dash, please follow the next step.
- Use a hard plastic putty knife to scrape the remaining adhesive off of your dash.
- Finally, apply some vinyl cleaner to a terry cloth towel and polish the area for a finished look.
Thanks!
